Merrickville Show

Went to the show in Merrickville today. It was awesome. There was over a 1000 cars. The 50/50 was like $1191. I didn't win it. The only other member there that I saw was Mark with his '65. I will post some pics later.

Excellent photos, Shutterbug! Another fabulous Merrickville event (no car show though) is the following, held this year on 28 August:

Last year, at that event, I picked up a low mileage SCHULTZ mug. They had two there, one listed at thirty-five and the other (in worse shape) for fifty-five dollars. A set of excellent-shape 1959 SHULTZ and DOOLEY mugs fetches fifteen hundred dollars. These were used in UTICA beer commercials. The mugs talked to each other, and both voices were provided by Jonathan Winter. If you look around, you might spot them used in more modern TV shows and movies - they are seen nearly as often as the SUPERMAN which is in each and every STEINFELD show:

I also picked up an extremely rare STAMMTISH TABLE ashtray from someone who had no clue as to its' true value. This item, at a German GASTHAUS (pub) would indicate the VIP table reserved only for the most honoured guests. Twenty-five dollars to me, but I could trade it for a brand new supercharger, easily:

Lightly used beer steins make excellent xmas gifts, or add a lot of class to your own bar. Photos from the event last year:
